After yesterday's longer ride, Coach Jay mentioned that I should do a shorter ride on flat road for Sunday. I found this awesome website (which can be found in the links section) that calculates distance point-by-point & even calories burned!
It would work great for cyclists & runners alike.
Here's the link for my ride today:
Great Highway & Lake Merced Loop
This is the Sutro District, it is located at the end of Geary Avenue. In the 1920's, San Francisco's social elite gathered here to rub shoulders. Since then, it has been broken down by years of poor maintenance, vandals & crashing waves.

This is the view looking south from Sutro District---Pacific ocean on the right, Outer Richmond District on the left. Around the same time the Sutro District thrived, there was also a boardwalk where you now see large amounts of sand.

The Great Highway -- good for a long flat ride to work on cadence & rhythm while riding.

Lake Merced borders southern San Francisco & Daly City...It is also very close to San Francisco State University where I am currently studying Photojournalism!
Total Mileage: 15
Total Tiime: 1 hour 15 minutes
Toughest Section: Riding on main streets/avenues on a Sunday afternoon! Yikes!
